New pathways in to digital jobs

15 February 2019

A CSIRO partnership has made it easier for digital graduates to find internships and work experience.

Jobs involving data science, data analytics and big data are increasingly in demand but graduates with the right digital skills can find it difficult to connect with employers. Moreover, in Australia, 90 per cent of respondents to an Institute of Analytics Professionals of Australia poll found recruiting for these roles more difficult than prior years, despite organisations paying nearly twice the median Australian salary for professionals with these skills.

A CSIRO platform called Ribit.net have partnered with TAFE Digital to ease networking between students and employers particularly start-ups. Within the next decade, partnerships such as these will become more important as Australian businesses look to recruit more digital employees.
