A Quick Guide
Teacher Registration
- Visit challenge.bebras.edu.au/admin
- Select the green button that says 'Register as a Coordinator'.
- On the new page, enter your state in the drop down menu and then enter your school's suburb.
- If you begin typing your school name it should auto-populate but if not, enter your school's full name (or 'Home School - surname'/'Home School - group' if applicable) then click 'Next step'.
- The new page will require you to enter your details as a Coordinator. If you are a teacher, please register using your school email.
- When the information is complete, click 'Request registration'.
- A new screen will appear letting you know that your registration is awaiting approval.
- You will receive a confirmation email once your registration is approved.
Uploading Student Information
- Login as a Bebras Coordinator using the username in your registration confirmation email and your selected password.
- In order to gain full access to the Bebras portal you must first acknowledge that you have collected Parental Consent forms and accept the Terms and Conditions.
- Then, select 'Documents' from the grey menu on the left.
- There you will find an Excel template called 'Student Login Upload Template.xlsx' to download.
- You can enter students' details (usernames and passwords will be auto-generated by the portal) into this spreadsheet and save it to your computer as a new spreadsheet.
- Then select the 'Import Files' tab from the grey menu on the left. Click on the green 'Upload' button, this will take you to a new screen called 'Insert CSV or Excel File'.
- Tick all the boxes for the fields you have included in your spreadsheet and use the 'Browse' button to select your completed student details spreadsheet saved on your computer.
- Then click the green 'Save' button.
- The spreadsheet will appear and should have a green 'Import Now' button next to it. Select that button and ensure all of the student information that appears is correct.
- Then tick the box next to 'Do not import first row of this file, it contains headers' and finally, click the green 'Import' button.
- You should see a message telling you the file has been imported and giving you the option to go 'Back'.
- Now select 'Students' from the grey menu on the left and all your students' details should appear.
- To access the auto-generated usernames and passwords for each student, re-download the student details as an excel spreadsheet by selecting the green 'Export Excel File' button at the bottom of the 'Students' page and downloading the spreadsheet. This file will contain your students' usernames and passwords.
